AGMA’s Board of Governors has approved the use of a short-form, one-page “Guest Artist Agreement” that any member in any AGMA category can offer to any non-AGMA-signatory employer. This will enable members working for any non-AGMA company to negotiate an individual agreement that would provide some of the benefits available to members working at signatory companies.

Obviously, your employer’s willingness to offer you some or all of these benefits depends upon your individual bargaining position. However, since this Guest Artist Agreement could be used in companies where there is now no collective bargaining agreement, is voluntary and individually limited, and doesn’t require the non-AGMA employer to have a union shop, it should find acceptance among those employers.
