On September 6, 2019, AGMA announced the opening of an independent investigation into the allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination made by AGMA members against Placido Domingo.   This investigation is on-going, and AGMA encourages any members who may have information relevant to this investigation to contact AGMA Eastern Counsel Wendy LaManque at wlamanque@musicalartists.org, to be put in touch with Mr. Maffeo’s office.  Members may also contact Mr. Maffeo directly at JBMaffeo@cozen.com or by calling 212-883-4951. AGMA Opens Independent Investigation Into Allegations Against Plácido Domingo

AGMA has retained J. Bruce Maffeo of Cozen O’Connor to conduct the Union's investigation into the multiple allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination against Plácido Domingo. Today the American Guild of Musical Artists (“AGMA”) opened its own independent investigation into the multiple allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination against Plácido Domingo. AGMA has retained J. Bruce Maffeo of Cozen O’Connor, a former federal prosecutor, to conduct the Union’s internal investigation. AGMA Leadership Conference Held in National Office

From June 24through June 27, 2019, AGMA’s Leadership convened its annual conference in New York City.  Approximately 17 AGMA Officers, Areas Chairs, Committee Chairs and representatives from around the country met to discuss and review various topics, goals and objectives.  Throughout the conference, AGMA staff presented updates regarding on-going projects and new initiatives.  The leadership group revised and refined a priorities list that had been generated during a previous conference.
