Metropolitan Opera: Dance Auditions – AIDA, 2020/2021 Season – UPDATE

In response to the public health emergency, all auditions for Aida at The Metropolitan Opera, scheduled on March 16, 17 and 18, have been postponed until further notice.  Activities at The Metropolitan Opera have been cancelled through March 31, 2020.


Please be advised that dance auditions for the Metropolitan Opera’s 2020/2021 new production of AIDA will be as follows:


Monday March 16, 2020        

                                   Beginning at   10:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.* AGMA MEN
                                   Beginning at      2:30 P.M. – 5:30 P.M.* AGMA WOMEN


Tuesday March 17, 2020

                                    Beginning at    10:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.* OPEN MEN
                                    Beginning at      2:30 P.M. -  5:30 P.M.* OPEN WOMEN


Wednesday March 18, 2020
                                   Beginning at   11:30 A.M.-  1:30 P.M. CALL BACKS


The choreographer, Oleg Glushkov is looking for classical, contemporary trained dancers with a strong technique. Ladies must bring pointe shoes.


In order to fulfill this engagement, you would need to be available for rehearsals beginning March 19, 2020 and for August 3, 2020 through the final dress scheduled for September 17, 2020 and as needed; and for November 16, 2020 through November 24 and for performances scheduled for:

September 21, 24, 27 Sunday, October 1, 4 Sunday, 10 matinee, 13, 17, 20, 24; November 24, 27, December 3, 6 Sunday,12, 2020.


Please enter the Metropolitan Opera House (Lincoln Center) through the Concourse doors into Founders’ Hall. Auditions will be held in the dance studio, Studio C19.


If you are an AGMA or EQUITY member please bring your VALID membership card with you. Please also bring a photo resume with you to the audition.
