Merry Solidarity: A Holiday Message from AGMA President Ned Hanlon

December 23, 2025

Merry Solidarity! AGMA President Ned Hanlon shares a special holiday video message celebrating the collective strength and achievements of AGMA members over the past year. Together, we look ahead to a future built on unity, resilience, and the power of solidarity.

Approximate Transcript of Video:

Hey, everyone, it’s Ned.

With Nutcrackers, Messiahs, church choir gigs, and holiday concerts in full swing, we all know just how busy this season is for AGMA artists. And honestly, that’s something worth celebrating.

Across the country, AGMA members are doing what we do best: bringing beauty, inspiration, and joy to audiences everywhere.

This year was a big one at the bargaining table. We started 2025 with 41 agreements to negotiate, and we’ve now successfully negotiated over* 30 of them, with every remaining company actively at the table.

That’s a shared, heroic effort by AGMA members and staff, and it includes first-ever contracts for brand-new AGMA Artists. Thank you for everything you do!!

We also know this year hasn’t been easy. Artists are navigating real uncertainty and pressure. In challenging times like these, standing together and looking out for one another matters more than ever.

So, as we close out this year, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together. We don’t have a ghost of Christmas past, present and future to convince our bosses to raise our pay, or improve our work rules. It’s up to us! And we’ve risen to the challenge – the gains we’ve made and the momentum we’ve built in 2025 carries us into 2026.

However you’re spending the season, I hope you’re able to find a moment of peace and joy. Wishing you a restful holiday season and a strong start to the new year!

And, as always, Merry Solidarity.
