Auditioning in NYC? Find Comfort at AGMA’s National Office

November 4, 2024

November 18 – November 22

December 2 – December 6

Important Note: This collaboration between AGMA and the Soloists Collective for Emerging Artists (SCEA) is open to ALL artists. Membership in AGMA is NOT required to enter the space, and ALL emerging and young artists are encouraged to use this resource.

The American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) is opening its National Office doors this New York Opera Audition Season as a safe and supportive space for artists.

Recognizing the challenges of spending long days and weeks in the City during fall auditions, AGMA invites artists from around the country—members and prospective members alike—to find a warm, welcoming place to land at our National Office, located just a block from OPERA America.

During the weeks of November 18 – November 22 and December 2 – December 6, Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET, auditioners are welcome to relax and recharge (both minds and devices!) in our comfortable office space. With hot and cold beverages, snacks, access to bathrooms, a place to change with a full-length mirror, and secure luggage storage, AGMA is here to make audition season a little more manageable and inviting.

AGMA’s address is 305 7th Avenue, Suite 2A, New York, NY 10001. We encourage AGMA members to spread the word about this resource to friends and colleagues!

Special thanks to AGMA Board members Elliott Paige, Catherine Goode, and Mary Hollis Hundley, as well as AGMA member Melanie Ashkar, for collaborating on this initiative alongside the Soloist Collective for Emerging Artists (SCEA).
