AGMA’s new three-year agreement with New York City Ballet was approved by members and ratified by AGMA’s Board of Governors on November 24, 2025.
This agreement brings increased compensation, better touring support, and new safety measures for AGMA Artists at New York City Ballet. It also includes important updates to evaluation practices, workplace protections, and policies around technology and data.

CONTRACT HIGHLIGHTS:
Economic Gains and Support
- Wage increases of 4% in year one, 4% in year 2, and 4% in year 3
- Increases are retroactive to Sept. 1, 2025
- $500 bonuses in years 2 & 3
- Media payment raised
- Improvements to ticket access
- Higher per diems for Saratoga and other tours
- New article guaranteeing NYCB-covered visa costs and limited immigration-counsel support
Health and Safety
- Health and safety protocols to address dancer safety during rehearsals and performance
- Updated Workers’ Compensation language requiring cooperation for full salary continuation
- Added health and safety protections including air-quality standards and cleaner tour dressing rooms
- A lowered excessive-heat threshold
General
- Single-occupancy rooms for senior Corps members on tour
- New article codifying annual evaluations for Dancers
- Language to address scheduling concerns
- New article addressing the use of artificial intelligence as it relates to Artists’ likenesses
