AGMA’s State of the Union is now available to watch!
As we celebrate AGMA’s 90th anniversary year and set our sights on our 100th, this year’s State of the Union offers an important look at what we have accomplished together and, even more importantly, where we are headed next.
This SOTU presentation provides a detailed breakdown of AGMA’s new 2026 and Beyond Strategic Action Plan, our roadmap for strengthening the Union and advancing our collective power for years to come.
The plan is built around eight key planks that will guide our work:
- From AGMA’s 90th Anniversary to our 100th, securing AGMA’s future (minute mark: 1:17 – 3:49)
- Organizing and Collective Bargaining (minute mark: 3:50 – 6:29)
- Communications (minute mark: 6:30 – 8:04)
- Health, including workplace health and safety, access to health care, and the AGMA Health and Retirement Fund (minute mark: 8:05 – 9:55)
- Inclusion-Diversity-Equity-Accessibility (I.D.E.A.) (minute mark: 9:56 – 11:46)
- Industry Challenges and the Future of Arts Funding (FOAF) (minute mark: 11:47 – 13:03)
- Training and Development (minute mark: 13:04 – 14:21)
- Budget, Finance and Operations (minute mark: 14:22 – 16:01)
We extend our sincere thanks to the elected leadership who joined AGMA President Ned Hanlon and National Executive Director Jeffrey Boyd to deliver this year’s State of the Union and who helped shape the conversation around AGMA’s future: Dancers Vice President Antuan Byers, Governor and the Membership and Member Relations Committee Vice Chair Réka Echerer, Governor and Work Rules and Contracts Committee Chair Ashley Emerson, Midwestern Region Vice President Cameo Humes, Western Region Vice President Sally Mouzon, Staging Staff Vice President Brian August, and Secretary-Treasurer J. Austin Bitner.
We encourage every member to watch the full State of the Union to gain a deeper understanding of AGMA’s priorities, progress, and vision for the future. If you would like to revisit a specific topic, we have included minute markers above so you can jump directly to sections of interest. That said, we strongly encourage you to review the full presentation for the most complete picture of AGMA’s work and ambitions.
Thank you for being part of AGMA’s continued growth and strength. The future of our union depends on all of us, and this State of the Union is an invitation to stay informed, engaged, and ready for what comes next.
