August 26, 2025

LAS VEGAS, NV (Tuesday, August 26, 2025) – The American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) and Nevada Ballet Theatre (NBT) are pleased to announce the ratification of a new three-year contract. The contract was ratified on August 25 by the AGMA Board of Governors.

The new contract will go into effect on Monday, September 8 when Company Artists return to the studio to begin rehearsals for James Canfield’s Romeo & Juliet, presented on October 17 – 19 at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

“As local artists who live and work in this community, we look forward to working together to advance our art form and continue bringing outstanding performances to Las Vegas,” said NBT Board Chair Jerry Nadal.

After months of negotiations, the new mutually beneficial agreement comprises significant wage increases for Company Artists over the next three years.

“This marks the start of a new era for the Dancers of NBT,” said NBT Company Artist Robert Fulton, on behalf of AGMA’s Negotiating Committee. “Our negotiating committee dedicated months to ensuring that the agreement meaningfully addresses the most pressing needs of the dancers. We are ready to move forward in a renewed spirit of partnership with NBT, knowing that together we can create an environment where artists and the art form can truly thrive.”

NBT’s 54th Performance Season includes a new production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® premiering December 13 through December 28. An extraordinary milestone for NBT, this reimagined production will bring brilliant scenic and costume design to Balanchine’s iconic version.
