AGMA has formed a new caucus dedicated to vocal soloists: the Solo Principal Artists (SPA) Caucus.
The SPA Caucus will serve as a focused space within AGMA to advocate for the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities faced by solo principal artists across all signatory companies. From addressing compensation structures, benefits, and pay schedules to fostering peer mentorship and a deeper presence at the bargaining table, this caucus will empower soloists to build collective strength and solidarity with one another and with the broader AGMA community.
This caucus is open to AGMA Soloists in good standing. If you identify as a solo principal artist and want to be part of shaping the caucus from the ground up, we encourage you to attend the kickoff meeting.
Kickoff Meeting on June 24
The Kickoff Meeting of the SPA Caucus will take place over Zoom on Tuesday, June 24, at 1:00 p.m. CT / 2:00 p.m. ET. A registration link will be sent to all AGMA Soloists in good standing. If you did not receive it, please email SPAcaucus@musicalartists.org.
What to expect:
At this first meeting, we will introduce the caucus’s goals, discuss priorities for upcoming work, and outline how soloists can become involved in the caucus’s leadership and initiatives. The SPA Caucus is committed to respectful dialogue, mutual support, and amplifying the voices of principal artists within AGMA’s democratic framework.
We look forward to launching this caucus together and building a stronger foundation for solo principal artists in our union.
