AGMA President Shares Personal SNAP Story on AFL-CIO Blog

As the current administration prepares to suspend SNAP funding on November 1, the AFL-CIO Blog has published an op-ed by AGMA President Ned Hanlon titled “Opera Singer and Union President: How SNAP Was My Lifeline.”

In the piece, President Hanlon reflects on how the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) sustained him early in his career as a professional singer and connects that experience to the labor movement’s fight for dignity, fair pay, and economic security for all working people.
