Allison Beck (she/her) is an experienced labor lawyer and mediator and, as of March 2024, the Interim National Executive Director of AGMA. She joined AGMA in 2018 as Mid-Atlantic Counsel. In 2022, she was promoted to Special Counsel to the National Executive Director and Mid-Atlantic Counsel. In 2023, her title was changed to "Counsel,” reflecting her work across regional divides and promoting a more inclusive and versatile role within AGMA. In 2024, she stepped in as Interim National Executive Director.

Prior to AGMA, she served in the Obama Administration as Director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS).  At FMCS, Allison mediated and managed high-profile collective bargaining disputes across a variety of industries and occupations, including symphonic music and opera, and advocated for effective labor-management relationships and joint problem solving.

She served for twenty years as General Counsel for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, AFL-CIO (IAM), where she supervised the legal affairs of a large, international labor union, became well-versed in all aspects of labor and employment law, including discrimination and harassment, and litigated cases in federal courts and government labor relations agencies.

Allison began her legal career as an appeals court attorney for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and, while attending law school at night, served on the staff of the U.S. Senate Labor Committee.
