The Metropolitan Opera is accepting applications for one Stage Manager Fellowship and one Stage Director Fellowship. Sponsored by C. Graham Berwind III, both positions are full-time and paid. Fellows will be part of the AGMA bargaining unit, with the opportunity to serve on AGMA committees at the Met, participate in shop meetings, and enjoy many benefits of AGMA membership.
Developed by AGMA members, these fellowship programs provide supervised, hands-on experience to early-career stage managers and directors. The fellowships were designed and conceived by AGMA Artists to provide tangible opportunities for individuals from backgrounds often underrepresented in the opera industry.
Each fellow will participate in the production of repertory opera at the highest level under the supervision of top professionals. Basic music reading skills are essential for this program.
Salary: $1,500/week per CBA
