Congratulations to San Francisco Educators

February 13, 2026

On behalf of the San Francisco Area Committee, I want to congratulate the members of the United Educators of San Francisco on reaching a tentative agreement with the San Francisco Unified School District to end this historic strike and move toward a stronger contract for educators and school staff. This tentative deal exemplifies the power of organized action and the importance of advocating for fair pay, fully funded healthcare, and the resources students need to thrive.

To all UESF members, AGMA was proud to stand in solidarity with you throughout this struggle. Your courage, unity, and commitment to your students and profession have inspired us all. I want to thank all the members of the San Francisco Area who gave their time and energy to support UESF members, whether by showing up at rallies or by demonstrating support on social media. Labor’s strength is in unity, across all fields and industries. It is that unity that enables all of us to fight and succeed. We’ve been fortunate to witness that same resolve in our own shops, and I was proud to see it reflected across San Francisco as well. It gives me hope for the work ahead and confidence that we will have strong allies as we continue strengthening our contracts and industries together.

Congratulations to the UESF!  We look forward to celebrating your victory and continuing to build labor strength together.

In Solidarity,

Lleyton Ho
