It’s Almost Labor Day: Join AGMA in the Celebrations

August 6, 2026

This is the time of year when union members across the country gather in strength and solidarity to celebrate our collective power, reflect on the history of the labor movement, and recommit to the work still ahead.

We encourage all members to attend a Labor Day parade, rally, breakfast, picnic, or community event in their AGMA Area. More on that below!

AGMA’s Labor Day 2026 Webpage is being updated regularly as more events are confirmed across AGMA Areas. Whether members are looking to march with fellow members or attend their first community celebration, this page will help them get started.

For a full (and growing) list of events across the country, visit the AFL-CIO’s official Labor Day site.

New York City on September 8

AGMA will have a large presence and full organizational support at the New York City Labor Day Rally and March on Tuesday, September 8, at 4:30 p.m. ET, as our National Office is based in New York City.

This year’s event looks a little different. New York City traditionally celebrates Labor Day with a parade, but this year the celebration will take the form of a rally and march instead. The change marks a new chapter in the city’s Labor Day mobilization while continuing the tradition of workers coming together in solidarity. Last year, 100,000 marchers gathered on Fifth Avenue to demonstrate the strength of the New York City labor movement.

We look forward to marching in strength and solidarity with our union siblings across the labor movement, and we AGMA members will join us. New York Area members who would like to participate, please register here.
