The Dallas Opera announced for local, Dallas/Fort Worth-based CORPS DE BALLET DANCERS AND COVER for the upcoming fall production of Turandot by Puccini/Alfano/Tin. Auditions will be through a live
audition.

Audition Date: August 25, 2026
Time: 6:30pm-9:30pm | Location: Will be sent to applicants via email.
The Dallas Opera is a professional group of diverse persons of all professions and backgrounds. Artist rehearses during the weekday, evenings, and weekends for each repertory period. The Dallas Opera is a member of AGMA, and compensation will align with TDO’s collective bargaining agreement.

The Dallas Opera is Seeking Corps de Ballet Dancers/Cover Dancer:
– 10 female identifying Corps de Ballet Dancers
– 1 Cover female identifying Corps de Ballet Dancer
Dancers should have a strong ballet, modern, and contemporary dance background. They should be dynamic performers with articulate musicality and ability to work in unison. Dancers may work with props and fabric.
The choreography requires individuals who can project a strong stage presence, which might be enhanced by a taller stature. While a taller build may complement the performance, we are open to considering diverse talents and will evaluate all applicants based on their skills and abilities.
Please bring ballet slippers or jazz shoes and wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that is appropriate for movement.
Please come warmed up to the audition. The auditions will be video recorded as requested by the choreographers for casting purposes. Measurements and photos will also be taken for costuming purposes. The taking of videos, photos, or measurements doesn’t guarantee that you have been cast. Official offers will be sent
out after the auditions are complete.
