On November 3, AGMA officially notified the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and Chorale (PBOC) management of its artists’ desire to unionize, with the hopes that the Company would respect their wishes and voluntarily recognize their union. Unfortunately, PBOC management rejected voluntary recognition.

AGMA will be filing for an NLRB election on Monday. We will share more details as things progress.

ICYMI: On November 3, AGMA announced that the artists of PBOC had signed cards to form a union. At the time, the organizing artists said, “Forming our union with AGMA will strengthen and enhance our working relationship with the management of PBOC. Building on the successes of the past 28 years, we are committed to supporting the present and future success of PBOC, and to further developing the Chorale’s reputation as a magnet for singers with superb vocal technique, musicianship, and understanding of historically informed performance.”
