The Staging Staff Caucus will host a Negotiating Workshop on Monday, August 15, at 9:00 p.m. ET. All AGMA members in good standing are encouraged to attend. The Staging Staff Caucus hopes this opportunity will assist AGMA members who may join negotiating committees in the future!

Joining the Caucus to facilitate the workshop is Arthur Wheaton, director of Labor Studies and who also works in the Cornell ILR Buffalo Co-Lab. His expertise includes workplace training, negotiations, costing out a contract and conflict resolution, as well as auto and aerospace industrial relations. He has taught Collective Bargaining, Negotiations, Organizational Change, Steward Training, Interest-Based Bargaining, Conflict Resolution, Communications, Costing Out a Contract, Internet Based Research for Unions, Running Effective Meetings, Crisis Management, and Strategic Planning. Additionally, he works for the Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution.

At the Workshop, attendees will play out “management versus workers” scenarios as we all learn best practices that will help them to understand both sides of the table.
