AGMA Stands in Solidarity with Workers at Warrior Met Coal

Since April 2021, hundreds of United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) members have been engaged in an Unfair Labor Practice Strike against Warrior Met Coal in Alabama. Well over one whole year. Recently, the NLRB has ordered the Union to pay Warrior Met Coal over 13 million dollars.

AGMA stands in solidarity alongside the United Mine Workers of America as they vigorously challenge an outrageous assessment of damages made by the National Labor Relations Board Region 10 regarding the UMWA’s 16-month strike against Warrior Met Coal in Alabama. We call on the NLRB to immediately reverse the alarming and unprecedented determination they’ve made.

UMWA has established a Strike Aid Fund, with UMWA International contributing the first $50,000 to the Fund. This is meant to provide additional support on top of the selective strike benefits they receive.
