AGMA Recognizes Transgender Day of Visibility

Today is Trans Day of Visibility, a day to celebrate trans and non-binary people and raise awareness of discrimination faced by trans people worldwide. To date this year, lawmakers in the United States have introduced 434 dangerous, misguided bills that restrict fundamental needs of LGBTQIA+ individuals, particularly trans youth, including healthcare. In the coming days, we will be sharing information with our full membership as to how AGMA members can fight back and stand up for the trans and non-binary members of their communities. AGMA National Election Update: Candidates Announced

The list of eligible Candidates is now available on the 2023 AGMA National Election webpage (see below for how to access the members-only page.) There are no contested races in this election. As a result, each of the listed Candidates will be deemed elected effective June 1, 2023, provided they do not withdraw as a Candidate by or before March 28, 2023.  Members will not receive ballots in April as previously contemplated in the Nominations and Election Policy as there are no contested races. AGMA Ratifies 4-Year Agreement with Wolf Trap Opera

The new collective bargaining agreement between AGMA and Wolf Trap Opera was approved by AGMA leadership, after being overwhelmingly ratified by the shop. Thank you to the negotiating committee and congratulations on this 4-year agreement! CONTRACT HIGHLIGHTS COMPENSATION AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS: Wage increases of 4%, 3%, 3%, and 2.5% over 4 years.Production Staff improvements, including reduction from 60 to 54 hours per week before overtime (except for tech week), and re-engagement communications.Chorister improvements, including full compensation for canceled rehearsal hours appearing on the 30-day schedule, approximately 25% increase in G1 chorister (Artists on AGMA contracts for the first time) rehearsal rate for Y... AGMA Ratifies 3-Year Agreement with Oregon Ballet Theatre

The new collective bargaining agreement between AGMA and Oregon Ballet Theatre was approved by AGMA leadership, after being overwhelmingly ratified by the shop.
