The American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) fully supports the Chicago Federation of Musicians and the Orchestra at Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) in their efforts to obtain a fair contract. As of today, March 11, 2019,  the CSO instrumentalists have gone on strike to obtain a fair contract and fight back against cuts that will hurt both the musicians and the quality of the artistry at CSO. New York, NY (March 1, 2019) – Today, the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA), installed its new President, John Coleman, following the resignation of James Odom from the position. President Coleman moves into his new role per the Union’s constitution which provides that the First Vice President assumes the duties of the President upon resignation.
