The AGMA Staging Staff Caucus will host a free form virtual discussion on Stage Management for Dance on Monday, October 18 at 9:00 p.m. ET. AGMA firmly stands in solidarity with workers of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E.) in their push for a fair contract from the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). Planning Ahead: 2023 National Election

While the next AGMA National Election is not until 2023, AGMA wishes to remind its members of new eligibility requirements for National Elections stemming from recent changes to AGMA’s Constitution. AGMA’s Constitution can be accessed through the MyAGMA Portal under the “Policies and Procedures” section. AGMA Releases COVID-19 Guidance for Productions Involving Children Under 12

9/23/2021 - In the past few weeks, the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) and our Expert Medical Advisory Board have received many requests for guidance about productions involving children under age twelve (12) who are not currently eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations. This is an especially urgent concern for AGMA signatory ballet companies that depend on successful Nutcracker runs to meet annual financial goals. Many AGMA ballet companies are casting only vaccinated children, a best practice we encourage. We recognize, however, that this may not be possible for all companies. Lyric Opera Stage Artists (LOSA) Earns 501(c)(3) Status

CHICAGO, IL (9/21/2021) - LOSA (Lyric Opera Stage Artists) is now an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. LOSA received this news on September 7, 2021. “Reaching this status is a dream come true that will allow LOSA to keep up our important mission while also expanding into new and more ambitious territory,” said Cathy Dunn, LOSA Board President and AGMA member since 1991. “We strive to serve our community of Chicagoland in a meaningful way.
