Boston Local Auditions
Boston Lyric Opera announces auditions for local AGMA singers for chorus and role consideration for the 2024-2025 Season. Auditions will take place between Tuesday, January 9th and Saturday, January 13th 2024 in Boston, MA. Local AGMA artists are invited to request an audition. An accompanist will be provided, but singers may bring their own. Please prepare at least three arias of your choice. Repertoire for the 2024-2025 Season has not yet been announced.
Audition Dates
Tuesday, January 9th, 2024
Wednesday, January 10th, 2024
Friday, January 12th, 2024 [beginning at 6:30pm]
Saturday, January 13th, 2024 [beginning at 1:00pm]
Fees align with BLO’s collective bargaining agreement with AGMA for the 2024/2025 season.
Employment may be W-2 or 1099 depending on offer of engagement and associated personnel group.
To request an audition, please visit our website at blo.org/auditions where you will find a registration form requiring a one-page résumé, current headshot and preference of audition date.
Materials must be received no later than December 11th, 2023, 5:00pm EST.
AGMA members are asked to be sure their union affiliation is indicated clearly on their résumés in the upper right hand corner.
Singers selected to audition will be notified by email by December 22nd, 2023.
PLEASE NOTE: Auditionees must operate within company Covid mitigation and control plans which includes compliance with BLO vaccination policy.
