Resident Corps
San Francisco Opera maintains a Resident Corps to fill tenure positions as they become available.
This is an important element to the process of selecting dancers during all Dance Corps auditions.

Audition Day Schedule
11:00 - 11:30 am - Studio available for Non-AGMA Individual Warmup
11:30 - 12:45 pm - Audition for AGMA Member Dancers *
1:00 - 1:30 pm - Studio available for AGMA Individual Warmup
1:30 - 2:45 pm - Audition for Non-AGMA Dancers
3:00 - 3:45 pm - CALLBACKS **
3:45 - 5:00 pm - Costume Measurements, as needed
Note: Barre & Centre will be given in the 11:30am and 1:30pm sessions; Callbacks will include new material
COMPENSATION
Rates of pay for the 2024 AGMA contract year are still to be determined. The 2023 rates are listed below:
- Contract Year 2023 Corps Dancer rate is $1,486.15 per week.
- Contract Year 2023 Solo Dancer rate when engaged as a Corps Dancer in the same production is $830.14 per-performance.

- * Only those with evidence of current AGMA membership will be permitted to participate in the AGMA audition
- ** Tenured Dancers who haven't danced at SFO in 2022 or 2023 and Resident Corps Dancers are required to participate in the Callbacks

- Employment is conditional upon provision of timely and satisfactory evidence of legal ability to work in the USA
