Midwest Counsel John Ward (he/him/his) joined AGMA in 2013 as Midwest Counsel. As of 2023, his title is "Counsel." The title change reflects his work across regional divides and promotes a more inclusive and versatile role within AGMA.
Working with unions for over 40 years, he had a brief stint with the Illinois Labor Relations Board before joining a union-side labor law firm in Chicago. In 2006 he opened his own labor law firm representing unions and their employee benefit funds. Ward is a graduate of Chicago Kent College of Law.
