Today AGMA members in good standing received an email reminder regarding Area Committee Elections and the non-binding referendum vote. The deadline is tomorrow, December 15, by 6:00 p.m. ET. Of the nine AGMA Areas, two resulted in contested races: New York and Southern California. As a result, these two Areas received a ballot to vote on their contested seats on December 8. In January 2021, members of AGMA staff and leadership met with the Facilitators of the AGMA Black Caucus, who offered several suggestions as to how AGMA can begin to redress racism and racial disparities union-wide within AGMA, signatory companies, and industries.
