Chicago Symphony Chorus Contract Talks Continue

The members of the Chicago Symphony Chorus, represented by the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA), and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association (CSOA) have been engaged in negotiations over a successor agreement to the labor contract that expired September 10, 2016. AGMA Announces a New National Executive Director

The Board of Governors is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Leonard Egert to the position of National Executive Director. Mr. Egert is an attorney who comes to AGMA with more than twenty years of experience in the labor movement, including serving as Assistant Counsel to the Writers Guild of America, East and in his current position of Executive Director of the San Francisco-Northern California Local of SAG-AFTRA. Additionally, his experience includes representing entertainment and other unions while at the firm of Spivak, Lipton, LLP and his own firm of Egert and Trakinski. Union Plus Offers Help for Survivors of West Virginia Floods

If you are a union member who participates in certain Union Plus programs and have been affected by the recent flooding and mudslides that struck West Virginia, you may be eligible for financial assistance through the Union Plus Disaster Relief Grant program.  Unprecedented flooding has left thousands of families displaced, and many do not have flood insurance. Union Plus Disaster Relief Grants of $500 are available to eligible members who have a Union Plus Credit Card(1), Union Plus Life or Accidental Death Insurance, or Union Plus Auto Insurance, or Union Plus Mortgage.
