Members: It’s Time to Submit 2024 Basic Annual Dues

AGMA members may now submit their 2024 basic annual dues. Invoices were sent on or around November 17. To remain an AGMA member in good standing, and avoid future reinstatement fees, members should submit dues by December 31, 2023. In order to participate at all levels of the Union, members must remain in good standing. This means staying up to date on all payments and installment plans. To engage in negotiations, vote on contracts, attend caucus or committee meetings, receive important emails, access MyAGMA, and vote, nominate, or run as a candidate in union elections, it is essential that members remain in good standing. Artists of Opera Colorado Secure Union Victory with AGMA Following NLRB Election

The American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) is pleased to announce that the Artists of Opera Colorado have won their union! The Artists fought vigilantly for six months to win their union. After prevailing in a National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) hearing in October, an immediate mail ballot election was ordered by the NLRB, with the vote count taking place on Monday, November 20. Given the results, OC management must recognize AGMA as the exclusive bargaining representative of the Artists. Organizing Update: PBOC Management Rejects Voluntary Recognition

On November 3, AGMA officially notified the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and Chorale (PBOC) management of its artists’ desire to unionize, with the hopes that the Company would respect their wishes and voluntarily recognize their union. Unfortunately, PBOC management rejected voluntary recognition. AGMA will be filing for an NLRB election on Monday. We will share more details as things progress.
