On Thursday, April 1, AGMA sent the following memo entitled "Vaccinations: A Mandatory Subject of Bargaining" to its signatory companies:

TO:                  AGMA Signatory Companies

FROM:            Leonard Egert, National Executive Director

RE:                  Vaccinations: A Mandatory Subject of Bargaining

DATE:            April 1, 2021

As COVID-19 vaccinations become more available for AGMA members and their employers, we write to notify our Signatory Companies that while AGMA’s expert medical panel does recommend vaccinations to curb and control the spread of COVID-19, vaccination policies and procedures are mandatory subjects of bargaining. If your company is considering ANY vaccination policy for individuals covered by our Collective Bargaining Agreement, please inform your AGMA Staff Representative(s) so that we may bargain over this matter, including any legally required accommodation procedures.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing the reopening of our nation’s premier cultural institutions and the long-awaited return of the Performing Arts.
