AGMA Ratifies 4-Year Agreement with Tulsa Ballet

The new collective bargaining agreement between AGMA and Tulsa Ballet was approved by AGMA leadership, after being overwhelmingly ratified by the shop.

CONTRACT HIGHLIGHTS

GENERAL COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Compensation increases in Year 1:
    • Apprentice: 10%
    • Corps De Ballet I: 7%
    • Corps De Ballet II: 5.5%
    • Demi Soloist: 5%
    • Soloist: 5%
    • Principal: 3% 
  • Additional increases of 3%, 3%, and 2% in Years 2-4.
  • 17% per diem increase 
  • Matching retirement contributions up to 2% 
  • Weekly parking allowance doubled from $10 to $20 
  • Additional paid sick leave to comply with CDC quarantine recommendations, in addition to existing paid sick leave bank   
  • Paid bereavement leave  
  • 2 weeks fully-paid leave for birthing and non-birthing parents.

MEDIA:

  • $100 social media takeover fee 
  • Increased Artist access to photos and videos for personal use 
  • Employer will maintain a social media “do-not-tag” list

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION:

  • Gender neutral language will be utilized in the CBA
  • TB will provide a copy of its anti-harassment/anti-discrimination policy to every AGMA Artist at the beginning of each season
  • TB will provide all wigs, hair coloring, shoes, and body make up with awareness and sensitivity regarding skin and hair color and type
  • TB will provide flesh/skin-toned costumes in appropriate color for Artists' skin tone whenever possible
  • TB committed to the elimination of outdated and offensive racial/ethnic stereotypes on stage (blackface, yellowface, etc.)
