Last Call for AGMAzine Submissions

Published May 4, 2022   |  By Musical Artists  |  Post in All Areas

AGMA Artists! LAST CALL to submit a piece of writing or artwork to the upcoming issue of AGMAzine! The theme for the magazine this time around is "AGMA on the Rise" and we want to celebrate AGMA members across the country.

The deadline to contribute to the Summer 2022 issue is this Friday, May 6. Email submissions (word document preferred) and high-resolution photos (as attachments) directly to Denise Baker at dbaker@musicalartists.org.

The theme “AGMA on the Rise” encompasses the growth and change AGMA and its members have experienced over the last two-plus years. We are still navigating through the pandemic, still fighting for equity. During this time, AGMA members have displayed great fortitude.

AGMA welcomes articles (100 words to 1,000 words, or somewhere in between) from all AGMA members in good standing. Some examples of topics include: sharing what you’ve been up to personally, professionally, and creatively, and what the future holds for you. Do you have a story about a favorite production that you want to share with readers? Have you launched a new business? Have you utilized a union resource in any way, like UnionPlus’ college degree program? Have you become more involved in AGMA by joining the Board, becoming a delegate, taking part in negotiations, or joining a committee or caucus? What brings you hope and joy?

These are just suggestions! We look forward to capturing all that and more and cannot wait to review your writing and/or artwork. Though we cannot publish all submissions we receive, please know that we will alert someone who submits either way and may even suggest it for the next magazine after this publication. Contact communications@musicalartists.org with any questions.
